This website brings back so many memories of my childhood and my teenage years. SFD was so much a part of my life with my Dad and Uncles being so involved. Even though I was a short time member as a firefighter I loved every minute of it. it was family, and I know it still is!!! Thanks!!!

Am a Retired firefighter from Camp LeJeune Marine Corps Base NC. Also Retired Asst. Fire Marshal of Onslow County Jacksonville, NC. Lived in Sayville from 55 - 60 and in 1969 joined the Hubert VFD in NC, at that time we were in need of turn out gear and you helped us. Very nice site.

Hey guys nice sit I grew up at 100 Middlesex Ave. Back in 95 I moved to chattanooga TN. When I turned 17 I became a volunteer here and later got on the Chattanooga fire dept. What a great website SFD has created! We are so proud of the "department" in our town. Our son, Jordan (16) became a cadet (explorer) recently and is enjoying it. Many thanks to Tino, Wendy and others who are so dedicated to this organization. We were recently at FASNY in Hudson NY and were proud to hear about Sayville's participatlion and see artifacts from SFD in the museum. Thanks to all volunteers who help our town!!
