The Sayville Fire Department responded to a reported motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Sunrise Highway Service Road and Johnson Ave. with personal injury involved. SFD Units Rescue 6 from downtown Headquarters and Squad 2 from the Broadway Ave. Firehouse responded to find 2 vehicles involved, both with serious damage due to the "T-Bone" side impact collision. Each vehicle occupant was removed by fire department personnel, suffering from neck & back injuries, and were transported to area hospitals by the Community Ambulance Corp. SFD further stabilized and secured both vehicles, "took up" and returned to quarters leaving the intersection in the hands of Suffolk P.D.
