In the proud history of the Sayville Fire Department, the "Blue Jays" Racing Team had never won a motorized tournament ... that was until this year's "Chief William St. George" Annual Motorized Drill, held Friday night, June 28, 2013, at the Hempstead Arch hosted by the Baldwin Fire Department "Tomcats" Racing Team. The Blue Jays scored in all contests throughout the evening drill for a total of 27 points to record their first ever tournament win ! Seen in the photos are Blue Jays Captain Walter Reutlinger Jr. and Chief of Department Michael W. Butler proudly displaying the "Chief William St. George" trophy along with the entire Blue Jay membership, both present and alumni of the past, at their July monthly meeting celebration. CONGRATULATIONS SAYVILLE FD "BLUE JAYS" !
